WHY I BUILT THE

OUTBACK

The Marlin Outback was born from a simple need. I was preparing for a long trip through remote Australia and wanted true off‑road capability with fast, effortless overnight stops.

Most of that style of travel is one‑night camps, so I wanted a camper where the kitchen, storage, and essentials were always ready — no unpacking tubs, no digging through the car, no wasted time.

At the same time, it had to stay true to what defines every Marlin Camper. Lightweight, strong, Australian‑built, and fitted with everything you need, and nothing more.

The Outback is the result of 20 years of building, testing, and touring across Australia. It’s the camper I built for myself — and now it’s available for anyone who wants to travel the same way.

ENGINEERED FOR REAL OFF‑ROAD TRAVEL

The biggest leap in capability comes from the Cruisemaster Independent Suspension and matching hitch. This setup delivers smoother towing, better control on corrugations, improved articulation, and confidence over dunes, ruts, and rough tracks

It proved itself in the Simpson Desert, where the Outback handled undulating dunes and long corrugated stretches with ease.

OFF‑GRID CAPABILITY

The Outback is built to stay off‑grid longer, with a completely upgraded power and water system. Equipped with Renogy’s heavy-duty off-grid system, the Outback delivers abundant power from a large lithium battery, a high-capacity inverter and ample solar. Generous water reserves and twin gas cylinders let you travel further and stay off-grid longer without compromise.
